We are pleased to announce the appointment of Prof. Nagwa S. Ata, Ph.D. to the Editorial Board of Ricos Biology Journal.

Prof. Ata is a distinguished Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at the National Research Centre (Giza, Egypt). With a career spanning over three decades, she has made significant contributions to veterinary microbiology, immunology, zoonotic diseases, environmental toxicology, and bacterial pathogenesis.

Her extensive research portfolio, numerous publications, and leadership roles—including serving as the Head of the Microbiology and Immunology Department at the National Research Centre—make her a valuable addition to our editorial team. Prof. Ata’s expertise will further strengthen the journal’s commitment to publishing high-quality, impactful research in the life and environmental sciences.

  • Former Head of Microbiology and Immunology Department (2005–2011)

  • Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology, Cairo University (1990)

  • Research interests: Veterinary microbiology, immunology, zoonotic diseases, environmental toxicology, bacterial pathogenesis

  • Member of multiple scientific associations including the Egyptian Association of Immunologists and the World Veterinary Poultry Association.
